Social Media Ease

Forbes recently ran an article on tips for mastering social media for small businesses that got me thinking about all the great resources National Association of REALTORS® makes available to its members in order to optimize their time and use of social media technology.

One of the biggest obstacles can be content. People worry that they don’t have time to write articles or blog entries that their clients would find useful. Or they dread the idea of having to come up with ideas for content all the time, but as a REALTOR® you have access to REALTOR® Content Resource (RCR), the members-only side of HouseLogic. RCR provides ready-to-use articles about home ownership that you can share with your clients easily via Facebook, Twitter, email, your own website, or as handouts. HouseLogics’s staff of professional writers creates the content for you, organizes it by topics and by seasons, so you can find relevant articles to share quickly. You can even add automatically updated content to your website or blog.

NAR’s Information Services is also working to make sure REALTORS® can access information and resources to enhance their confidence using popular social media networks. One of NAR’s biggest concerns for its members is safety, so we have compiled a Field Guide to Using Privacy & Security Features in Social Media. We have also put together Field Guides for specific networks such as Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.

Want more help with social media? Our current MVP+ offer is a free download of Social Media for REALTORS®: Facebook for the action of “Liking” the HouseLogic Facebook page. The offer is valid through July 15, 2015 and the download is available until August 15, 2015. If you are unfamiliar with our Member Value Plus Program, check out the MVP+ page for details.

I’m wondering why I got this link via facebook five days after your MVP offer expired. That was disappointing . . .

I’m sorry the post didn’t reach you on Facebook until after the offer expired, but hopefully you found the other information to be useful. The MVP Program makes new offers every two weeks, so perhaps another offering will be of interest and use to you soon! Please feel free to contact NAR’s Information Services at 800-874-6500 if you have any questions about the program.
